As women we are often faced with fulfilling many roles in our lives, from a wife/partner, mother, taxi driver, friend, houseworker etc, not to mention our job/career.
Environmentally we are exposed to more chemicals that our mothers or grandmothers were and we no longer can ensure the food we buy contains the nutrients and goodness that is required to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We are bombarded with research that tells us one day potatoes are good for us and then the next day they are not. It is no wonder we struggle with achieving a healthy balanced lifestyle.
Oriental medicine has always encouraged “prevention is better than cure” but the western world works more on the basis ‘why fix it unless its broke’. Unfortunately by the time we go to ‘fix’ it requires a lot more effort, money and often medical intervention.
Treating the lymphatic system can be used as either a prevention technique or to assist in a healing program.
So why would treating the lymphatic system assist in achieving a balanced health lifestyle?
Simply put it’s your immune system. If the lymphatic system isn’t functioning correctly neither will your immunity.
